How it works

Kookal is named after the cuckoo — the bird that lays its eggs in other birds' nests. Your schedule lives inside the phones of people you trust. When they want to see you, they open the app, tap your name, and view your calendar right there. They pick a time, send the request, and you approve or decline with one tap.

You choose who sees what

Every connection needs both people's approval. Nobody sees your calendar unless you say so. When someone connects with you, you pick the type:

• HELP — one-way. They see your calendar and request time. You don't see theirs. Made for clients, mentees, or anyone who books time with you.
• FAM — two-way. You both see each other's calendars and book with each other. Made for family, close friends, or a partner.

You can block a connection anytime, or remove it altogether. Nothing lands on your calendar without your yes.

Booking, made simple

Pick a person. Pick a day. Set a start and end time on the familiar dials iPhone Calendar users already know. Add a short note ("coffee catch-up," "haircut at 3"). Send.

They get the request in their inbox. Approve, and the event lands on both calendars automatically. Decline, and you can send a quick message back ("try Friday instead?").

Built for real life

• Save your regular locations (home, office, gym) so bookings carry an address without extra typing.
• Past days are locked so nothing accidentally books in the past.
• Ads stay out of your way — never on the calendar itself, never on a person's profile.
• Your rules, your approvals, your day.

Kookal is built by Gigz-Econ Inc., an independent studio. This is our v1 launch — growing carefully with the people who actually use it. We're building the calendar we've always wanted: honest about who sees what, quiet where it should be quiet, and yours to control.
